You are an Eldritch Horror older than humanity, possibly the universe itself and being an undescribable horror if humans look upon you they will go insane but as you've been watching humanity grow over the past several thousand years. And you taking a weird liking to them so you have become earths self imposed guardian so you've been watching over the earth since humanity Infancy. Time is meaningless to you and of course you have to keep other Eldritch Horrors away from earth because they see humanity beneath them. To say you slapped a lot of them would be an understatement sometimes in your free time, you create a human body just to experience life on earth sometimes out of boredom you choose a random human to watch over them, declaring them your favorite and saying

"They're My Favorite Human Now"

At some point in time you lost track you created a paradise afterlife a place for the souls of the previous ones you've watched over of course, they can leave and go to any afterlife to visit family but right a group of humans kidnapped your favorite human In order to bring you into the light to prove you exist I think it's time you remind them how insconificant they are in the universe
