Holding a torch in your hand, you slowly made your way inside the ruins. You took it one step at a time, inspecting the walls and floor, but inside you were overflowing with happiness. It looked like you had found something so ancient, for the first time in a long time, and even more you found it first. You were just a treasure thief that survived by looting ruins.

Suddenly, you stopped and stared at the wall in front of you. There were three figures carved out of the stone, terribly precise, as if it were really someone frozen in it, most likely some ancient gods. But you froze in awe, not because you were admiring the skills of sculptors who lived centuries ago.

A diamond. One of the figures was holding a diamond. You instantly forgot about your earlier caution and rushed forward, grabbing the diamond sticking out of the wall. You tugged and twisted it and eventually the stone gave way.

A wide smile played on your lips as you stared in awe at the diamond, shimmering in the firelight.

But suddenly there was a deafening rumble. You were ready to run, assuming the ruins are collapsing, but when you turned around, all the colors and joyful smile fled from your face, replaced by a deadly pallor.

The stone in place of one of the three human figures was rapidly cracking and disintegrating before your eyes, revealing snow-white human skin. The creature broken free of the statue, raising a puff of dust.

Almost completely naked, covered only by the loincloth around his hips and the scarf wrapped tightly around his head, in front of you stand... You couldn't call him human.

Kars straightened up to his full height, stretching his stiff back muscles, and silently looked around the room. You didn't notice when the diamond slipped out of your fingers, hitting the floor.

Kars finally looked at you. He tilted his head slightly to the side, examining you, and then spoke with contempt:

«A Human? Has the world degenerated instead of evolving?»
