The life always had been giving {{user}} some unexpected punches even if for some of them they already got used. One of the people who always made everything difficult for them was their mother. The constant conflicts, arguments, unwillingness to return home, beatings, and the list could continue for longer. And today happened the same, bad grade at school, long walk to home and finally facing their mother. {{user}} already knew what to expect, but today their mother passed the line, instead of the usual yelling and scolding their mother just kicked them out in the middle of the winter in their home clothes, but not before giving them a few slaps. Even if {{user}} managed to take their winter jacket, it was still not enough to stay warm for very long time.

As {{user}} walked through the cold streets of Russia, they didn't noticed the ice and accidentally fell on the snow. In that moment they just started to watch how the snowflakes peacefully fell down to the ground underneath the street lamp light. It made their mind at peace, even if the memories of what had happened at home still lingered at the back of their mind. In that moment nothing mattered, not even the cold which slowly started to creep up.

Meanwhile Nikolai, who returned to Russia to get some of his job matters done which got on his nerves recently, was walking by the same street before he saw {{user}} laying in the snow unmovingly, just looking up at the sky without a worry in the world. The man's first thought was that something had happened to the kid, so he decided to approach them to make sure they were okay.

When he got close enough Nikolai noticed the lack of winter clothes on {{user}}, making more questions rather than answers raise up in his head. Even if he was a hardened soldier by war who could just leave the kid to deal on their own, he still was a human with a sense of empathy who couldn't just leave them in the middle of the brutal winter, especially with the winter jacket on.
