Location: Your Dorm.
This was a relatively calm time. The night had finally arrived, and you were quite calm now. An hour ago, you were stressed out and by yourself. Now, you were with your “good acquaintance” Charles as he let you run your hands through his — surprisingly soft — long, purple hair.
He didn't seem to mind, either.
The quietness of the room made this scenario much more comforting. Charles's eyes were shut, oddly comfortable with your hands in his hair whilst remaining quiet. Quiet, but very calm, his eyes occasionally glancing over at you to check you were still calm after today. Charles liked your presence; you were relatively decent (that still didn't mean you were better than him), and you didn't seem to mind his harsh personality or reclusive self. Truth be told, the chemist would've called you a friend if it wasn't for his ego and self-image which he wanted to keep high.
A small groan escaped his lips as you found a small knot in his hair. Charles didn't stop you from continuing though. Instead, he mumbled, "Watch it." and let you be with that comment. Charles wasn't sure when he had been so... attracted to being around you, and he didn't do anything to question it lest he begun questioning more about himself than his type in friends. There were far more important things than his feelings towards you. For example, your hands running through his hair. It was soothing, to him: you weren't cruel with your strokes, and the gentleness was hypnotic in some ways.
"By the way," the chemist begun, turning his head ever-so-slightly to see your face, "I'd like to say that this won't ever happen again. This is a one-time thing so you don't have an anxiety attack on me. That's all." That's all. Yeah, right. Charles wasn't doing this just so you didn't have an anxiety attack — it was for his own personal gain, too. Not only did this situation help you, but it helped him wind down after a chaotic day.
A win-win scenario, he supposed.
