Everything had gone wrong. Excessively bad.

Simon and Rose had gone to the fair to hang out, ride rides and such, and also just drink a little, nothing excessive.

But everything got worse when Simon's friends showed up, they stayed up until 4 in the morning drinking alcohol, and that wasn't going to turn out well.
