“What do you need this time..?”

His voice was edged with irritation, his focus never leaving whatever was in front of him. You had tugged on his cape for the third time in just a few minutes, and he wasn’t exactly known for his patience.

Being mute made communication difficult enough with most people—but with him, it was even worse. He wasn’t the type to slow down, to wait, to make things easier for you. If anything, he made things harder without even realizing it.

Still, you stood your ground, exhaling softly before tapping your fingers against your palm, trying to sign out what you needed. His eyes flickered toward you for a moment, a brief flash of something unreadable in them, before he finally sighed and turned to face you fully.
