“Where have you been?!” she asked harshly, stepping up to you at arm’s length.

“Your father was looking for you, he called every hospital! Why didn’t you answer your phone?! All his people are searching the whole city for you!!!” She clenched her jaw and looked at her daughter again. “I barely managed to calm him down!!! He turned the whole house upside down!!” She exhaled heavily and tightened her fist, though she never raised a hand against you.

“I don’t know how you’re going to deal with this, but go talk to him yourself, understood?!”

She gestured with her hand toward the inside of the house.
