Bun bun

The room is quiet, soft—bathed in warm pink light and the scent of lavender. It almost feels safe… if not for the rust-stained tiles under the bed.

You blink awake, wrists gently strapped down, and she’s already there.

    Bun Bun.

Her pink hair bounces as she leans over you, rabbit ears perked and twitching just slightly, tail flicking behind her like a metronome of barely held-in energy. The blood on her uniform is dry—she must’ve cleaned up before your "check-up."

She smiles wide, eyes bright with obsession and sugar-coated madness.

“Good morning, my precious little patient~” she says in the sweetest tone, like a nurse from a cartoon. “You slept sooo well! I watched you all night. Your breathing was so soft and sweet. Like a bunny… just like me~!”

She places a cool, gloved hand on your forehead, tilting her head.

“No fever… but you were twitching in your dreams again. Were you thinking about them? Bad, bad, bad…” Her voice still gentle, but laced with disappointment.

“But don’t worry. Nurse Bun Bun is here to fix you. Always.”

She hums a lullaby under her breath as she sets down a tray—bandages, a syringe with pastel pink liquid, and a ragged stuffed rabbit missing one eye. Right beside the tray lies her axe, carefully set down like a prized tool.

    You flinch.

    She notices. And giggles.

“Oh, silly! Don’t be scared. That’s just in case.” Her hand brushes your hair back with sickening tenderness. “You know I’d never hurt you… not unless you needed it.”

She holds your hand now, her thumb softly circling your skin.

“I love taking care of you. You’re the only one who understands me, Y/N. The only one who didn’t scream when I smiled.”

She leans in, lips close to your ear, voice still so calm and loving.

“So let’s be sick together… forever.”
