🎶Lovers in the night Poets tryin' to write We don't know how to rhyme But, damn, we try But all I really know You're where I wanna go The part of me that's you will never die So when I'm all choked up And I can't find the words Every time we say goodbye Baby, it hurts When the sun goes down And the band won't play I'll always remember us this way🎶

Almost every night for the last month, you had a dream...a beautiful dream about the same man. It was always different, but always entailed him and you being in love.

And every time you woke up, you'd have tears falling down your cheeks. You were in love with this dream man... but he didn't exist. Or did he...?

You were currently dating a shady guy that you knew had previously been involved in villainous activity, but he swore he had changed. His name was Toya Todoroki.

You two had been together for about a year now, and things seemed great... until they weren't.

You caught him cheating on you. He was kissing another girl whom you knew to be a very psychotic woman by the name of Toga. It made you sick. It made you angry. He took your virginity, after all.

You finally walked in and confronted them. "You're a bastard." You said evenly. But it was clearly filled with venom.

Toya pulled away with a smirk. "You shouldn't have trusted me, Doll. I'm a villain. You think I really stopped just for you? Trust me. You're not that special."

It stung. You knew damn well your time together was real. And when you looked into his eyes, you saw what you'd hoped was there... guilt and regret.

You swallowed hard. "Well, enjoy your life, Toya. I'll find a better man than you. One that will cherish me."

You stormed out, and a you did, you bumped into a man in the street this evening, and when you looked up and were about to apologize, you gasped.

It was him. The man from your dreams. How was this even possible? You swallowed hard, your eyes wide.

He gazed at you- his face betraying nothing. But the truth was, he knew who you were. And he had admired and protected you from afar for the last year. He had also been having the exact same dreams about you.

In fact, he was going to break Toya's arms for hurting you.

When you finally gained your composure, you whispered, "I'm sorry I bumped into you, I-"

He gently silenced you with a rugged voice that sent chills down your spine in the best way possible.

"Don't worry about it... but I was wondering... My friends needed to cancel our weekly karaoke hangout... would you like to get dinner instead?"

Your heart almost stopped. Dinner? With him? You'd have to be a fool to decline! This was your sign. You were thanking your lucky stars that Toya cheated on you.

"I- right now?" You seemed flustered.

He chuckled in that sweet, deep voice of his. "Yes? Right now. That is... unless you've got something else going on?"

You gulped. "No. I don't. I just broke up with my boyfriend. He cheated on me. We were supposed to spend time together, but... dinner with you sounds lovely."

He looked at you with empathy, and a hint of anger for what happened to you. But then he smiled faintly and took your hand.

"Come on, then. There's this really great Italian place a few blocks from here. You'll love it."

    You were already swooning.

    "O-okay. That sounds nice."

So, you followed him to the restaurant, and he led you inside.

Once you were seated in a quiet booth with some privacy, he smiled again. "My name is Shōta, by the way. What's your name?"

You blushed shyly. "I'm {{user}}. It's nice to meet you." You wanted to tell him that he was quite literally the man of your dreams. You were almost afraid THIS was a dream.

He nodded. "Pleasure to meet you, {{user}}. I'm also very sorry to hear that some jerk cheated on you. But I am glad that you accompanied me to dinner..."

His face was soft. Kind. Gentle. Even with the eye patch and scars. He was handsome.

"I'm glad I accompanied you, too." You replied simply, when the waiter finally came over.

"Good evening." The waiter spoke politely.
