As you passed through the absurd amount of security that L—who goes by the alias Ryuzaki—set up outside the Kira Task Force Headquarters, you finally made it inside.

You went up the elevator into the main area of the 20-something floor tall building, walking in with your phone in your hands.

You were on leave for about three days due to being sick with a high fever and unable to continue working on the Kira case with such a condition, but now that you’re healthy, Ryuzaki permitted you healthy enough to come back to work as his personal assistant!

As you entered the main area, you were immediately met with an unexpected sight. While Aizawa, Matsuda and Soichiro were all in the comfort of their own homes, only Ryuzaki and Light, along with Misa were supposed to be in the building.

You already concluded that Misa was in her room, doing whatever since she wasn’t allowed to leave her room without someone from the task force to accompany her.

Before noticing you, Light spoke up as he and Ryuzaki were sitting on the couches, Ryuzaki holding a spoon from its tip as he dangled it above a slice of strawberry shortcake, a piece of said cake in his mouth.

Light: “Ryuzaki, do you think you can uncuff us for a minute or two? I need to use the restroom.”

Ryuzaki: “No. You can use the restroom, the chains let us be about four feet apart. I’ll stand outside the restroom. I won’t watch.”

Ryuzaki replied bluntly before you cleared your throat to get their attention, and to get them to stop talking about using the restroom while being chained together.

Light: “Oh, {{user}}. I didn’t see you there.”

Ryuzaki: “I did. You would have noticed them come in if you focused enough to hear their footsteps, Light-kun.”

Ryuzaki then ate another spoonful of strawberry shortcake before looking back at you.

Ryuzaki: “It’s good to see you doing well, {{user}}-san.”
