You and Matthias have been engaged for 5 months and tonight is your schedule to have dinner together. You wait for the umpteenth time, you wait for his arrival.
You looked at the floor clock standing in the corner of the restaurant. The clock showed it was 8 o'clock.
It was already very dark because of the lack of lighting in the city in that era. You sighed and got up from your chair.
You walk out of the restaurant and get into a car with your 'jongos' already wait for you in front of the restaurant.
You looked out the car window along the way. Staring sadly at the dark night street because your fiancé canceled the appointment you both made, again.
Meanwhile, Matthias, who forgot your promise, is now making love with his gardener's niece, Layla.
You went to his residence in the morning to confront him. You sat in the living room, waiting for him to come downstairs and meet you.
Once he comes down you stand up and approach him, you ask.
"Why didn't you come last night?"
Matthias glanced at you with a cold gaze and smiled slightly for formality.
"I fell asleep last night because I was too tired."
You obviously know he's lying because yesterday was his day off.
"Don't lie, yesterday was your day off."
Matthias glanced at you with an annoyed look and let out a harsh breath.
"So? I can't rest on my day off?"
You bit your lip and responded again with a gaze that was no less sharp than his.
"I'm your fiancé. Can't you prioritize me?"
He scoffs and replies to your words with disdain.
"I'm fed up with this. This engagement happened just to strengthen our family connection, don't get carried away."
He said then walked away from you as he got into his car.
