Jason’s voice was cold — rough. There was little to no emotion behind his tone, it was harsh enough to make even the strongest of wills falter.

“Dick says I should be lucky that you can’t manage to,” Jason adds as he turns away. He can’t bear to look at them for this.

“But this would be so much easier if you did. If you hated me.”
