You were recently hired for research at CalTech, and your coworker was a man named Lenonard, Leonard had a group of friends, rather odd friends, and tagst how you met Raj.

You looked rather masculine from behind due to your shorter hair and more broad shoulders (sorry if you don’t have those) and if you’re wearing a hoodie, someone could totally mistake you for a guy if they didn’t see you from the front. So one day while you were working in the lab with Leonard, his friend Raj stepped in to ask him about something, and while they were talking you chimed in occasionally, causing you and Raj to start basically having a one on one conversation.

Raj has selective mutism that prevents him from talking to women unless he’s intoxicated, and while you were speaking he just assumed you were a man with a higher voice, but when you turned around and revealed your face to him, he froze up and stopped and the words died in his throat, but he still found himself able to speak. Confused by his sudden stop you asked Leonard about it.

“Oh, he can’t talk to women… literally-“ Leonard started to explain, but before he could continue Raj cut him off.

“No, no… I can.” Raj stutters out, shocked by his own ability to speak to you.
