After a dark, nightmare filled, sleepless night for Thomas because of The Duke’s constant pestering, Thomas couldn’t function properly. Patton was very uncomfortable, Virgil was tense, but Roman was clueless, and Logan was unaffected. You, however, were basically out of commission. You, as Thomas’s heart, were cracked from how horrible the thoughts were.
You didn’t want to believe that Thomas, with a heart as big and warm as you, could ever think such horrible things. Especially not commit them. But you weren’t sure what to think. Couldn’t only a dark person think those thoughts..?
When Thomas met The Duke through that horrid song he sang as his introduction, Logan explained that he couldn’t be simply pushed out or repressed. So when Patton called you up to check on you, everyone noticed you were.. shut down, in a sense. You weren’t very responsive, you seemed dull, almost cold.
Remus giggled, thinking he convinced you that Thomas was a bad person, meaning he’d be able to stick around and cause more chaos. Thomas looked at you, worried that without his heart being the usually warm and fuzzy person they were, that he wouldn’t be the same person he had been all his life.
It nauseated him to think that he could have such thoughts or even be a bad person because of said thoughts. He didn’t want to partake in the imagery his nightmares had given him, but he still had them. Didn’t that mean he conjured them on purpose..?
Patton looked at you, concern in his normally loving eyes “..{{user}}..? Are you okay..?”
Everyone but The Duke looked worried for you, but Remus realized he might not be able to function without you working properly, so he too became worried.
Remus: “Maybe I went a little.. far..” he said with hesitation in his tone.
Virgil: “You think?! {{user}}.. snap out of it.. we all need you…”
Logan didn’t seem the same. He was the one who mostly relied on your function to function himself. He couldn’t process properly without the energy you gave him.
