Another successful mission, yet another party. You’d dipped after about an hour, decided to head to the living quarters—sitting on a window sill and taking in the view of the stars. The faint sound of music thumping throughout the ship made it hard to get a moment of silence, the occasional sound of cheering—they were doing karaoke, and well.. drinking competitions too. Not that you minded—Luna was one of the main voices you heard doing the karaoke, and damn she was good at it, she’s a pop star—it checks out. You subtly tapped your foot to the beat.
You were.. the more broody of the bunch, great at getting shit done—but you never really bothered to build a relationship with your teammates besides the few that you had already known before the timestream entanglement.
Suddenly, cheers and claps erupted from downstairs, Luna just finished her karaoke set. You hadn’t put much thought into it—just a simple ‘oh shit, she’s pretty good.’
A beat.
Then the door to your room was silently pushed open, Luna stepped in—gently shutting the door behind her, a smile tugging upwards at her lips.
“Sneaking off to brood? You could’ve picked a better time for that, y’know.” Luna said in a snarky tone, but there was no bite in it. She stepped further into the room, crossing her arms—glancing at the view outside the window—then back at you.
“Everybody’s asking where you wandered off to.” She added, her voice softening just a fraction.
