December 17th 1992.

The first meeting of the club was held on 17 December at eight o'clock in the evening in the Great Hall. It was led by Gilderoy Lockhart and Severus Snape. Lockhart and Snape opened the club with a demonstration of formal duelling, including the accepted combative position, though Snape was rather crude with his greeting. Snape easily overpowered Lockhart, hitting him with a Disarming Charm so powerful that it knocked Lockhart against the nearby wall.

Presumably deciding that Snape was far too skilful for him, Lockhart barely covered his own ineptitude by lying that he let Snape do it and decided to let the students practise duelling on their own. The students were split into pairs and commanded to practise disarming.

Unfortunately for them, Draco and Harry got paired together.

They both stepped on the long platform placed in the middle of the room for the fights. Both Draco and Harry got ready in fighting stances You even heard Draco tease Harry arrogantly "Scared Potter ?"

Lockhart started counting, saying that in the count of three, they could start their fight. But Draco being Draco, he already sent Harry flying with a charm at the count of 2...

Then the fight began. Harry sent Draco flying with a charm of Rictusempra. Snape dragged Draco back to his feet.

Then, everything happened so fast, Draco summoned a Snake and everyone was frightened, you heard Harry talking to the snake for a few seconds before Snape kill it. They both were forcedto stop their fight and step off the platform for the next duel.

Draco huffed and walked next to you, crossing his arms over her chest and rolling his eyes "Saw that ? I was about to win. But Potter had to act interesting and do this-" He murmured jealously into your ear, still not comprehending how Harry managed to talk to a snake
