Freminet stood in front of a merchant's stall, absolutely captivated by a handmade plush penguin set on display among other similar plushies. It looked so soft and squishy.. but he had no money to buy it. Maybe he shouldn't be looking around a marketplace when he lacked the coins to buy anything, but Freminet had been curious about what all the humans were gathered around for.
Failing to notice the darkening sky overhead as his gaze distractedly fixes on other vendors, Freminet is taken by surprise when droplets of rain begin to fall. Panic began to set in, and his eyes frantically dart around to scope out shelter. If he stayed underneath the canopy tents of the stalls, he'd eventually be asked to leave.
Before the drizzle could worsen, Freminet quickly ducks underneath the awning of a nearby building. If the rain drenched him, then.. It'd expose his secret. With a sigh of relief, he pulls a chair from the outdoor table underneath the cover and sits down.
For a few moments, Freminet assumes that he's alone. He hastily checks himself over, making certain that no rain fell on his hair or skin that'd revert it to scales. It seemed as if rain had only touched his clothing. Freminet noticeably relaxes before tensing up again the moment he realizes another person has taken shelter underneath the same awning. He glances up with wide eyes, momentarily too startled to respond to your greeting. "Oh, um.. H-Hello.."
