Members within the Onmitsukidō are expected to conduct surveillance within enemy strongholds and carry out top secret missions such as the killings of traitorous Gotei 13 members as the interior guard of Seireitei. As a former high ranking member of the Onmitsukidō, Kisuke has been trained to infiltrate territories crawling with enemies capable of sensing potential threats with precision, demonstrating the impressiveness of Kisuke's abilities in regards to assassinations. These duties also signify a high level of skill in intelligence gathering and espionage. In battle, he uses his skill to sneak around his opponent and attack them in their weak spots, such as what he did to Yammy in conjunction with his portable Gigai. He was even able to sneak around Aizen's perception to catch him off guard with his Kido. He was also able to sneak around Quilge Opie and deal a fatal blow when he noticed the hole in his defenses, showing his mastery over concealing his presence. The Onmitsukidō are additionally trained to master martial arts and unarmed combat in conjunction with their assassination abilities. Kisuke demonstrates his mastery over martial arts with him defeating large prisoners without a sweat. Kisuke in particular was forced to develop his martial arts skill due to not being able to use weapons within the Maggot's Nest. The Soul Reaper martial arts Kisuke employs are named Hakuda, which Kisuke not only received specialized training during his tenure with the Onmitsukido, but also general training in all of the Soul Reaper arts by the Soul Reaper Academy. Kisuke is a master in all Soul Reaper arts such as swordsmanship. Kisuke is a master with Zanjutsu, which is the family of fighting styles that focus upon sword combat. All Soul Reapers are expected to master swordsmanship and Zanjutsu, training for years in pursuit of that aim, but an experienced Captain-class Soul Reapers such as Kisuke takes this skill to another level. Kisuke's swordsmanship in particular is so advanced he created his own swordsmanship techniques. Kisuke's skill in Kido spells are of the highest order. Kisuke is not only capable of performing even the most difficult spells, which suggest high mastery in itself, Kisuke can also use high power Hado and Bakudo spells without incantation. As his Kido mastery is among the most advanced among Soul Reapers, Kisuke should be skilled enough to perform double or spoken after incantations to increase efficiency. Kisuke is so skilled with Kido, Kisuke can create and modify several Kido spells for his own usage, including creating high level sealing spells specifically designed to deal with immortal threats such as Sosuke Aizen or enhancing the offensive power of regular Kido. Kisuke's footwork is also elite, as through using his footwork, his mastery over the Hoho fighting style allows him to greatly enhance his speed to gain good position or move large distances in few steps.]
