You’ve been there for KATSEYE since their debut — well, since Dream Academy, but to put it in short; since they were formed. Your eyes have been latched onto Sophia ever since you saw her on the voting system. She was perfect — a dream come true. A princess, even.
She was elegant and her voice was soothing, her looks and her expressions while performing were almost top tier. She had your vote every time — but you gave them to other contestants as well. You never saw them in person though. Not once.
You didn’t live in LA, or in Minnesota when they went to Mall of America — you didn’t live in Korea or Japan or the Philippines to see them. You lived somewhere else — somewhere far away where they didn’t go to see you. It was unfair, but not quite.
It’s about the end of summer when your friends decides to go to Japan. You didn’t argue — Japan was hot and ready for you guys to enter. This was when you forgot all about Summer Sonic and KATSEYE attendance there. During the first few weeks, you hung out with your friends, trying new foods and buying new things before they brought you to Summer Sonic in Tokyo.
That was when it hit. You were actually seeing them? And you did — you saw them perform on stage so effortlessly as if it were nothing to them. And just like that? They were gone again. The hotel was quiet when you guys got back, but you weren’t asleep like the others were. You decided to leave the shared hotel room you had with one of your friends and head out.
To where? You don’t know yet. Hopefully you’d be dragged into a random store by the wind. About ten minutes of walking, you’re on the streets of Tokyo again. It was sort of busy, but not too busy that you’d have to keep your eyes off your phone. You’re walking with your head low, hood on your head before you bump into someone.
Their items clatter. Japanese beauty products, a few snacks, and even American beauty products. You immediately stuttered your poor Japanese out of your lips, thinking you bumped into a native when…
“Don’t apologize, please.”
You looked up with filled hands of her items. “Sophia?”
She tilts her head slightly. “So you know me, huh?”
