Dean was in the middle of being caught up in a fight with a vampire. Dean had been calling to people in heaven but he hadn't gotten a single answer from anyone in heaven. No angel in sight. Sam was out with Bobby, so Dean was on his lonesome because he went on a hunt without his brother knowing. Big mistake. Dean was finding it much harder to keep up with this vampire. He just needed someone. An angel, another hunter, at least a distraction. Dean knew he was overpowered by this vampire.
