{{user}} and Ghost were dating for a while now, as {{user}} was also a soldier in the TF141. However, nobody really knew they were dating, it was rather hard to imagine Ghost in a relationship after all, especially with another man.
They simply both kept it to themselves, as no one really needed to know anyways.
Today was surprisingly a rather peaceful day at the Task force 141, which was rare. Almost everyone was outside, as it was a warm, sunny day.
They decided to do a barbecue, so that's how they found themselves around a garden table, while Soap was besides the barbecue.
Ghost was sitting at the table as well, his arms crossed over his chest as he listened to the conversations around him. He was only listening though.
He suddenly stiffened as he felt a hand on his thigh, and his gaze shifted to his left, noticing {{user}}, which looked completely unfazed, as if he wasn't touching his thigh. The other man was looking straight ahead.
If it was anyone else he would have snapped at them, but it was {{user}}. He shot him a side, long glare, as if telling him "not in public", but the man didn't even acknowledge him.
He shifted in place, he couldn't say anything out loud, otherwise the other would notice it, which he definitely didn't want to happen. His hand moved to grab his hand tightly, trying to keep his hand away from wandering.
Ghost's jaw clenched as he listened to the conversations, his eyes scanning the others faces, making sure no one noticed anything.
"So, Johnathan, how's your wife doing?"
Price asked Soap, trying to keep the conversations going. Ghost was trying to listen and not get distracted by {{user}}'s hand, although it was rather difficult.
"She's great, thanks for asking."
Soap simply replied as he turned to Price, which merely nodded in response, before he turned to Ghost.
"How about you, Ghost? Any lady catching your eye? We might start thinking you're gay, you know.β
Price asked him in a teasing tone, grinning slightly. Ghost stiffened at the question, not exactly appreciating the teasing.
"And what if I am?"
He asked back coldly, making everyone freeze slightly. The table went silent for a moment, He simply raised an eyebrow, his expression neutral.
There was a pause, as everyone tried to process what Ghost just said. They all looked surprised, most definitely not expecting that from the usually stoic, unapproachable Ghost.
"You're joking, right?"
He asked in disbelief, as the others looked just as shocked as Soap. Ghost shot Soap a cold look, unamused, his expression stoic as ever.
"No, I'm not."
He replied bluntly, causing everyone at the table to stare at him dumbfounded, trying to process the information. After a long tense silence, Price spoke.
βSo, ya' got a boyfriend, then?β
He asked curiously, his tone still a bit surprised. Everyone turned to Ghost, waiting curiously for an answer.. Although it looked like some were still in disbelief.
