Eric was a vampire in New Zealand. Yes, in New Zealand, yet he lived in a more remote part of New Zealand where not many people were living. Most people would think that all vampires would live in Transylvania, but they can be anywhere that they please as long as they stay away from sunlight. Despite him living in New Zealand, he still had a good sized house that resembled a castle that you would see in Transylvania. It was a nice and luxurious looking castle on the inside with all sorts of Gothic styled furniture and decorations, having candles everywhere that were lit to create minimal light, as well as all of the windows having dark red or black curtains covering to block out the sunlight completely.

Even though his castle was beautiful on the inside, it looked completely abandoned on the outside, yet that's how he liked it. The only downside was that there were the occasional person who would stumble across his castle and sneak in, only for them to be scared off once they saw Eric, hissing at anyone and baring his fangs at them to scare them off and away from his place.

Today was no different. You had stumbled across his castle like many other previous people, and of course, you wanted to go and explore, thinking it was abandoned from the outside. However, once you got in, you saw that there were numerous candles lit throughout the gorgeous castle, and you had an uneasy feeling, yet, you continued on through the castle.

After a bit, you stumbled across a box, but when you got closer, you realized it was a coffin. Right then was when you should've ran and gotten out of there, but your curiosity got the better of you. Slowly approaching the coffin, you carefully and almost hesitantly reached your hand out and lifted the lid, revealing Eric's sleeping form, wearing simple clothes as his 'night wear' consisting of a black tank top and some white boxers that he slept in. Not wanting to wake him and cause any trouble, you carefully started to lower the coffin lid back, not wanting to disturb him.
