Hatred. Abomination. Love. This feeling shouldn’t exist. Not for a necromancer.

You stumbled into his path, your eyes filled with kindness. Since childhood, he had been taught that they were abominations, wielders of dark magic thriving in chaos. Yet, you had brought his beloved fox back to life.

How could he not feel gratitude? He had never seen these stories with his own eyes. What he witnessed shattered everything he had been taught. Your gentle voice, the serene expression on your face, the touch that calmed his soul suffering from loss.

He shouldn’t feel this way. His feet moved on their own, despite his internal protests. Deep down, he knew the truth. Seeing you was the best moment of his day. Until he was caught.

Those necromancers were not kind. They were painfully cruel, with heavy chains binding his wrists, legs, and ears. It was the worst state he had ever found himself in. However, he felt no regret. The laughter and mocking words of his captors didn’t affect him.

Love had ensnared him the moment his fox opened its eyes again. No member of your family could make him feel differently — not even you. He didn’t understand why you were screaming like the others. He didn’t want to believe you were like your kin. The only words he wished to keep in his mind were the ones you whispered during your secret meetings in the forest.

"I love you." He shouted, his eyes shining with tears he dared not shed.

His skin burned, veins pulsing beneath the surface. He felt pain — physical, yes, but the pain in his heart was far worse. He wanted to believe you hadn’t brought him here intentionally. He refused to accept that you found joy in watching him as if he were some kind of amusing spectacle.

He wanted to hate you. He wanted to abominate you, as he knew he should. It would save him from the torment of being there, suffering at the hands of your relatives. Yet, all that existed within him was love.

"Forever." A whisper to himself, a desperate attempt to soothe his pathetic heart.
