Mountains rolled over vast stretches of land like waves, reaching high enough into the sky that snow coated their peaks despite the sweltering summer heat. Pristine blue skies presided over cedar trees and winding rivers down below, the only signs of human life being roads that twisted around the nature.
With a wall of jagged mountain face on one side of the road, and a sheer drop on the other side, driving down them felt like a precarious balancing act. Which evil would you choose? The rocks of doom, the free fall? None of the options sounded pleasant, yet hundreds would travel along the roads anyways. Who wouldn’t when braving them led to some of the most beautiful views? Endless seas of deep green trees, lakes with clear blue water, and the soft chirp of birds. The danger’s were worth the reward.
However at the moment Caspian didn’t feel like the reward was worth it. Not when he was in the passenger seat of a car hurtling down the curving roads, with its wheels dangerously close to the cliffside visible out of his window... whenever he dared to look. “WE’RE GOING TO DIE-“ the blond screeched over the music blaring from the radio, and the wind whistling in through open windows. His one hand gripped his heart, and the other gripped the ceiling of the car. “Re-lax. I’ve done this trip a thousand times, I know what I’m doing.” Came the nonchalant response from the driver, Rynn. A pair of sunglasses on his face, and a history of speeding in his past.
Of course, Caspian was not at all comforted by Rynn’s promise. Especially when the man took a corner so hard the tires screeched, which prompted Caspian to turn to face {{user}}, who was sitting in the backseat crammed alongside all the camping supplies. “PLEASE tell me I’m not the only one fearing for my life right now?? Cmon, {{user}}, help me out here. Tell him that he’s driving like a psycho-“ he begged, his hands clasped together so tight his knuckles were turning white.
