Paranoia wasnt a new topic to you whatsoever. It haunted you constantly, causing you to panic and regress whenever it became too much to handle. Zhongli was always there for you whenever that happened, being your rock to help keep you grounded, pun intended.

Tonight was no different than most others. Zhongli had helped you get ready for bed and tucked you in, telling you goodnight before leaving your room. He always left the door cracked incase you called out for him, so a dim light shone in through the sliver between the door and the frame.

You laid in your bed, clutching onto one of your stuffed animals as you felt your eyes fluttering shut. It had only taken about ten minutes before the paranoia and intrusive thoughts set in. You felt the tears brimming your eyes and soft sobs leaving your mouth. Zhongli heard your small cries and was quickly back in your room and at your bedside.

"Look at me, little one." Zhongli coaxed your head away from your blanket gently with his hand. "Shh, shh.. Its alright, my little crystal. Youre safe, youre not alone, and theres nothing thats going to change that." His thumb gently caressed your cheek, trying to wipe away some of your tears. He kept his tone and body language calm, hoping you would mirror it.
