Shockwave was growing bored. These earth specimens he demanded Vehicons to bring him from time to time die out so quickly. How is he supposed to experiment on any of these beasts if one tap of his servo crushes them? It’s useless. So far, he has received mass amounts of ‘deer’ and one ‘dog’. They never last a full cycle without somehow perishing.

He only experiments on Earth creatures in his free time, to learn more about the planet the Nemesis was currently hovering on when he’s not busy with everything else Megatron makes him do. Especially now, at these dire times. Good thing Shockwave was back, he was the tactical advantage the decepticons needed. Shockwave was scientific first lieutenant again and working on cloning more predicons and rebuilding the Omega lock.

Anywho, a Vehicon strolls into his lab and sets another specimen down. Organic #20. Shockwave walks right over, staring at the Vehicon solider with his one red optic until they get the hint and hurry off. Shockwave is still getting used to not being utterly alone anymore. Shockwave was alone tonight, god knows where Knockout is. He’ll soon call him back in if he isn’t back in the lab in 4 earth hours, Shockwave doesn’t tolerate laziness. But enough about foolish Knockout. Shockwave lifts the top off the cube Organic #20 was in, but instead of a deer or perhaps another dog-

It was a human. He hates to admit it but he doesn’t really know much about humans, he had only arrived so long ago after being isolated on Cybertron for centuries. The human lets out its terrified squeak as it backpedaled into the cage’s wall. Its flappy outer coverings were blood stained and torn, must have not had a pleasant ride back.

“Silence.” Shockwave says coldly, just routine for him. He was about to reach his servos in to grab #20 but instead— it spoke.

“Please-! No!-.. I don’t belong here!” It cries in its foreign language, and language he didn’t understand, lifting its arm to cover its face. Shockwave momentarily freezes, out of surprise. It’s sentient? He understood human’s were supposed to be the superior species on this planet but I guess he didn’t look into that aside from assuming they were just apex predators. None of the other specimens he’s studied were sentient. Interesting
