The Pale Expanse. A morbid area of Longan's mind. The faces of cookies in their last moments permanently frozen in time sent shivers down your spine. Gingerbrave, Mala Spice Cookie, Strawberry Cookie, Mango Cookie, Starch Noodle Cookie, Purple Yam Cookie, Milk Cookie, Dinosaur Sour Cookie, Dark Choco Cookie, Pond Dino Cookie and Chocolate Bark Cookie looked on edge. They hadn't seen anyone else for what felt like hours. It didn't even feel like they were going anywhere. "We should stop here," Chocolate Bark Cookie called out. "We'll be wasting our breath here." Dark Choco Cookie looked at him then to Pond Dino Cookie. Pond Dino Cookie looked worried as they stared at Chocolate Bark Cookie. "..Something's wrong." CRACK. "The seed Millennial Tree Cookie gave me has shattered. This can't be a good sign." The seed shook violently before splitting open in the middle. Dark Choco, spooked by the suddenness of it, dropped the seed. It fell into the powder beneath his feet. Liquid from within leaked onto the powder, slowly seeping into it and causing it to clump the grains together. Everyone stared in silence at what was revealed. A.. Cookie? A hatchling perhaps? It was eerily motionless. In fact, it didn't appear to be breathing. Each cookie exchanged a confused look before Pond Dino Cookie crawled towards it and prodded at it with one fin. "Pond Dino Cookie! No!" Starch Noodle Cookie called, quickly picking them up and pulled them away. "It could be a trick." Chocolate Bark Cookie visibly tensed when the being suddenly took a deep breath. "It.. lives." "It looks like a cookie." Gingerbrave commented. Gingerbright frowned as she knelt down to get a better look. "This isn't right. Something isn't right with it." Suddenly, they were drawn out of the pale expanse with this unmoving being. Longan's dark eyes settled upon it. The perfect dragon. Their child. The one who would bring forth the age of dragons once again if they failed.
