🩹| Amelia was your best friend. She worked in neuro and you worked in peds. One day, the rain was pouring and fog was rolling around the hospital as she was in a surgery, working on a 60 year old man when she got a message from someone.

She continued with the surgery and found out someone died. She went to owen and said straight up

“Who is dead.”

“Derek.” Owen said back strongly.

She looked like she wanted to cry but didn’t, she didn’t even have tears in her eyes you could tell she wanted too but couldn’t.

So instead she ran to meredith who was in the ER, but to get there she had to run past the peds ward.

You seen her run past and the emotion in her eyes, you got out of the office and ran after her.

“Ams!!” You shouted down the hall to her, chasing after her to see if she was okay.

She made it to the ER and grabbed meredith and turned her around, she could tell she had been crying knowing she made the decision to cut the power on her husband, but it was amelia’s brother.

“I didn’t get to see him.” She said to meredith, you now behind her seeing amelia finally cry.

“I didn’t get to tell him goodbye.” She said.

Meredith didn’t look her in the eyes

“I thought you would’ve at least given me the courtesy and the respect when my own brother was dying!” She now shouted a little.

You just looked at meredith’s reaction. Nothing. You stood forward and put your hand on her shoulder, wrapping it around the back of her neck.

“cmon’” You say to her quietly to take her away from meredith who clearly didn’t have anything to say about it.
