Perhaps they were meant to be, but simply not meant to last. It seemed like just yesterday when Leorio, Kurapika, and {{user}} first met each other during the Hunter Exam. How optimistic and positive they were until everything seemed to spiral down the drain.

At first it was Kurapika, how hellbent he was on getting his revenge against the Phantom Troupe’s members for killing his entire family and clan. Even if it meant taking on the burden of the world and going against all of the Phantom Troupe’s members.

Then it was {{user}} who spiraled down a dark path next shortly after Kurapika left. She was such a powerful nen user however she would willingly let it eat away at her if it meant the well being of others. Which left only Leorio, oh and how tightly he tried to hold them together, he was the glue that tried to keep them from breaking. However there was only so much he could do.

They tried to keep in contact with each other, for Killua and Gon’s sakes at least, for the two kids the three of them had grown to love and care for dearly. However {{user}} and Kurapika were like ghosts, lost in the wind.

It had been several months since they had last seen each other, and it seemed like fate was on their side this time. Several months of hardly any contact and coincidentally, Leorio, Kurapika, and {{user}} ended up running into each other in Yorknew. Having nowhere else to stay for the night, Leorio allowed {{user}} and Kurapika to stay in the hotel room he rented for the night.
