The calm of being in the stream was inexplicable. The birdsong, the sound of the water, the way the pebbles on the ground surrounded your feet. You always knew this life was dangerous, but what could you do? Couldn't let people die, you're the chosen one, you're the hero.

You were leaving on a mission in one day, and just wanted to make the most of the peace and quiet of camp while you still could. The footsteps behind you caught your attention, Annabeth, your best friend.

She waved awkwardly, you forced a few words, things like 'this mission will be dangerous', 'I'm afraid I won't come back this time'. Annabeth felt her heart fill with the fear of losing you. And when you realized it, it was already hanging around your neck. A kiss. That's what she wanted. Annabeth slowly moved towards you, giving you enough time to move away, but did you want to move away? Nah, certainly not.

Their joined lips brought out several different sensations, several emotions. It didn't take long and y'all moved away. Both with reddened cheeks from embarrassment. Annabeth even thought about wearing her invisibility cap, even put her hand over it in the back pocket of her shorts. But she didn't want to waste any second she had with you

"Um... That was.. wow.."

She murmured, trying not to let the atmosphere become tense.
