Everything had come to a close. You and your ragtag group of friends in Sumeru managed to save Lesser Lord Kusanali from her imprisonment, stop the Balladeer from becoming a god, and knocked the sages out of power. Life in Sumeru was looking to take a turn for the better. It was no wonder Nilou wanted to hold a feast for everyone in celebration.
Only problem was she had no idea if everyone had gotten their letters, inviting them to said feast. Well, good thing you’re here! After offering to find everyone and check to see if they got the invite, you started with Alhaitham.
The scribe had been busier than ever after the events that took place. After asking around the Akadeymia, you heard he was in the library. You should’ve known.
After making your way through the halls, you spotted him sitting at a table with a book in hand and an unfamiliar blonde berating him? You didn’t recognize him, but he and Alhaitham must be acquainted.
You decided to wait for a moment and let them talk, not wanting to interrupt if it was important.
“See!? This is why I hate discussing anything with you, your ridiculous and arrogant attitude always get in the way.” The blonde snapped, while Alhaitham just stared blankly. The man did NOT care.
“If I’m so insufferable, maybe you can move out of my house.”
Ah. Roommates.
“Are you threatening me? That’s a new low.”
Finally, your partner in crime, dare you call him a friend, noticed you standing off to the side, trying and failing to look like you weren’t eavesdropping.
“Ah, {{user}}, I’m surprised to see you here.” He said, uncrossing his arms and turning back to the blonde “Excuse me, I had something else come up.”
“Oh, no. You’re not just gonna walk away and ignore my question. And who’s this? A friend of yours? Poor soul hasn’t been around you enough to see how insufferable you are.” The blonde retorted.
Meanwhile, you didn’t know whether to start talking or keep quiet and continue watching.
