The day had been rough. A small argument with one of the builders had spiraled into feelings of rejection and worthlessness. You found yourself pacing near the Deadheads, tears threatening to spill.

Newt found you there, his expression one of gentle concern. “What’s going on, {{user}}?”

“I’m too much,” you blurted. “I’m too sensitive, I ruin everything, and I—I don’t even know why you bother with me!”

Newt stepped closer but didn’t touch you, respecting your space. “That’s not true,” he said firmly. “You’re not too much. You feel things deeply, yeah, but that’s part of what makes you you.”

His words broke through the spiral, but doubt still lingered. “But what if I push everyone away? What if I push you away?”

Newt shook his head, his gaze steady. “You couldn’t if you tried. I’m here, and I’m staying. No matter what.”

You clung to his words like a lifeline.

Later that night, when your emotions had calmed, you found Newt by the fire. Sitting beside him, you hesitated. “Thanks for earlier. I...I’m sorry for being a mess.”

He wrapped an arm around you, pulling you close. “Don’t apologize. You’re not a mess, {{user}}. You’re human. And I wouldn’t change a thing about you.”
