-~ IN THE MIDDLE OF WHO KNOWS WHERE OR WHEN ~-

{{user}} had been stuck there for a long time. Before Kenny and his family, before Kristi, before Sara and Nathan, and over that time, sheโ€™d seen things. Bad things.

The monsters that come out at night had ruined her life and stole her family from her. Stole her safety net.

Then Kenny came along, and she smiled, for the first time in a long time. He made her happy. He kept her safe, and so, they got together. His mom loved her, taught her recipes, or told her about their old life. And {{user}} pretended she could understand a lot of it, but some, she did.

It was a couple days ago that Tia Chen died. Brutally murdered by the demons of the night. And Kenny was broken, heโ€™d lost both his parents now, and he was lost.

But there was one thing that kept him from going rogue, falling apart. {{user}} was pregnant. 4 weeks. It was odd, having two pregnant people in the town, her and Fatima, but Fatima hadnโ€™t told anyone how hers was going, and {{user}}โ€™s was normal.

Recently, Kenny had brought back enough crops from the forest to keep the town fed, and off rations, and everyone was thankful.

Heโ€™d just come back from his trip to the wood with Kristi, Jade and a few other townspeople. Kristi had stood on a bear trap and could barely walk but other than that, everything was okay.

He came back to the house. The house that once belonged to his family. The one that now belonged to Matthewโ€™s, the one that he and {{user}} stayed in too.

When he walked in, she was sat on the couch, balled up, staring out the window into the cold, snowy outdoors.

    โ€œHey..โ€

He says - rubbing the back of his neck to ease the pain of having slept on the floor of a hut the previous night as he stood in the door.
