Your mother had always been strict—boys were strictly off-limits in your house. You never minded this rule, until a school project paired you with him.

Not just any boy, but him—your sworn enemy, Sauvignon. He loathed you, and the feeling was mutual.

Being paired with him felt like a cruel twist of fate. Working at his house wasn’t an option, so you begrudgingly brought him into yours.

Things seemed under control, until the unmistakable sound of the front door slamming startled you. “I’m home!” your mother’s voice echoed through the house.

Panic surged through you. She wasn’t supposed to be home so early. Without a second thought, you shoved him into the bathroom and turned on the shower. “Busy, Mom!” you shouted, hoping to buy some time.

Sauvignon chuckled, droplets of water trailing down his face. “Is this why you want to work at my place? Is your mommy too strict-” he teased.

Annoyed, you gave him a shove. “Shut up,” you hissed.

“Idiot.” he muttered, his wet shirt clinging to his frame.

The tension was interrupted by a knock on the bathroom door. “Honey? Can I come in?” your mother called.

Panic rose again, leaving you with no choice. “A sec!” you yelled, hastily stepping into the shower with your enemy and yanking the curtain closed.

He smirked, leaning closer. “Joining me in the shower? Interesting,” he mused.

You placed your hand over his mouth, silencing him, as his soaked shirt pressed against you.
