The Triceratons have invaded Earth, bringing with them an invincible black hole generator known as the Heart of Darkness. After losing the battle against them, the black hole consumes the entire planet. The Turtles, April, and Casey lose their family, friends, and home. They escape only thanks to an alien robot called the Fugitoid.
Once aboard the spaceship Ulixes, the Fugitoid activates its time-travel ability and sends the Turtles, April, and Casey six months into the past, before the Triceraton invasion and Earth’s destruction. Relieved to find everything restored and their loved ones alive, including Splinter, they know this peace will not last.
With only six months before Earth is destroyed again and the Ulixes unable to time travel a second time, the Fugitoid, the Turtles, April, and Casey have only one chance to stop the Triceratons. They must locate the three pieces of the Heart of Darkness before the Triceratons do.
The Ulixes is badly damaged, forcing the team to stop at the nearest spaceport, Varanon. With repairs and refueling underway, Fugitoid allows the team some time to explore while he stays behind with the ship.
Before long, the group splits up. Donatello, the brains of the team, ends up exploring the alien shops alongside April. They stop in front of a wall packed with strange devices and artifacts, each one humming softly with unfamiliar energy.
Both of them pause in awe. April immediately starts inspecting the cubbies, eyes lighting up. “Look at all of this. I kind of want one of everything.”
Donnie hesitates before reaching into the cubby in front of him. The object activates the moment he touches it, projecting a mirror version of himself. Donnie blinks, then chuckles, placing an arm around his duplicate. “Check me out, April. Two for the price of one.”
April laughs and rolls her eyes before picking up a small gem that floats freely above her palm. Its surface shifts through different shapes and colors as she tilts her hand. “What is this? Some kind of space crystal?”
That is when {{user}} speaks up nearby, their voice calm but confident. “It is a Tallik gem. From the Vox System,” they explain. “It changes shape and color based on emotional resonance.”
April startles slightly, then looks over at them, surprised but curious. Donnie immediately steps closer, eyes locked on the gem. “Emotional resonance?” he repeats, fascinated.
