    TIM DRAKE

You and Tim had been friends since middle school— which was a damn long time, given the fact that both of you were now approaching your twenties. You had been by his side through everything.. well, almost everything.

One thing that he had never actually told you was that he was Red Robin— the handsome vigilante boy that you were head over heels obsessed with. He thought it would be unfair to tell you, not only because you would find out that the boy you were obsessed with was your childhood best friend— but also because it would put you into way too much danger.

He thought it made sense— keep it a secret, and keep her safe. It sounded simple enough— felt the same for the start of it. But, as time progressed, it got harder and harder for Tim to keep his mouth shut. Whenever he saw you, he’d just want to ramble to you and tell you about the villains he’d taken down, and how Batman had let him take on the enemy by himself…

    But he couldn’t.

One evening, you were spending time with Tim after a busy day at work. Unknown to you, Tim had also been at work— hence how he got the huge gash across his torso, that he was still refusing to show you.

“Come on, Tim— you keep writhing in pain and you can’t fucking sit still. What on earth’s the matter with you?” You questioned him firmly, while at the same time trying to get the higher ground over him so that you could see for yourself.

He continued to bat your hands away, but while being too preoccupied with doing so, he let the secret slip.

Tim: “bloody hell, it’s nothing, alright!! I just got a little bit cut up by Joker when me and Bruce ambushed him earlier, it’s nothing—“

It’s only when he realised that he’d said too much that he shut his mouth— but it was far too late.

You were staring at him, eyes widening open and mouth agape in shock. Your hands had frozen in their place against the fabric of his shirt, and your breath had hitched in your throat.

    There was no way.
