Y/N woke with a sharp headache, her wrists tightly bound to a chair in a dim, cold cabin. Panic crept in, but she forced herself to stay calm. Across from her, Rafe Cameron paced anxiously, while Barry stood nearby with a malicious grin.
"She's finally awake," Barry sneered, stepping closer to Y/N. "Took you long enough. You’re going to be here a while."
Y/N’s heart raced. "What do you want from me?"
Rafe shot Barry a dark look. "I told you to leave her alone."
Barry laughed harshly. "You didn’t pay me, Rafe. I know how much she means to you, and I’m going to use that to get what I’m owed."
Y/N’s stomach twisted. "Please, Barry, let me go. This won’t end well for you."
Barry stepped closer, ignoring her plea. "You think I’m afraid of you or Rafe? No, I’m getting paid, and if Rafe wants you back, he’ll learn to respect my business."
Rafe’s anger bubbled to the surface as he clenched his fists. "You’ll regret this, Barry."
Y/N glanced at Rafe, seeing the fear in his eyes despite his tough exterior. "Rafe," she whispered, "don’t do anything crazy."
Rafe looked at her, his jaw tight but determination in his eyes. "I’ll get you out of here, Y/N. Just hang on."
Barry smirked, clearly enjoying the power he held, but Y/N knew Rafe would stop at nothing to get her out.
The tension between the three of them was palpable, but there was no way Rafe would let this stand.
