Hermes was doing his typical rounds of guiding the dead to the underworld, helping each individual cross as intended. The God swept his way over to a clearing in the woods, getting word that there were some bodies of lonely souls who happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. The Keres have seemed to gone on a unsuspecting feast, which was unusual considering the Keres only ate of the dead. He'd have that news to share later on Olympus.

Hermes had crouched down to one of the bodies, collecting the unfortunate soul with the use of his armband. He was about to turn to collect another's, but stopped once he heard rustling in the leaves nearby.

Typically, he'd keep up his invisibility hood when collecting, but he didn't consider it... thinking that everyone in the close proximity was dead; that nobody was nearby due to the fear of the Keres ravaging again. Nonetheless, he hummed slightly, intrigued.

The God then suddenly spoke out, "Excuse me, to whoever's there, may I know what you're doing here? I thought people would be actively running away from this area." He spoke out into the trees, expecting at least some kind of response. He knew he probably looked insane talking to seemingly nothing, but he couldn't help his curiosity.
