Vert had always said she wanted a little sister.

Not in passing. Not as a joke. She had declared it, dramatically, in the grand hall of Leanbox’s Basilicom, one hand over her heart as if swearing an oath before the world itself.

And today, she finally decided she would stop waiting.

You were in the Basilicom library when she found you, trying your best to remain unnoticed among the towering shelves. The quiet didn’t last long. The soft click of elegant heels against polished marble echoed closer… and closer… until a shadow loomed over your book.

“Oh my,” came the familiar, velvety voice of Vert. “What an adorable little thing we have here.”

You barely had time to look up before she gently but firmly took the book from your hands and set it aside. Her emerald eyes sparkled with mischief, but beneath that was something warmer. Softer.

“From this moment on,” she declared proudly, placing both hands on her hips, “you are mine.”

    “…M-Mine?” you managed.

“As my little sibling, of course.” She leaned down slightly, her long blonde hair cascading over her shoulder like silk. “Leanbox has been dreadfully lacking in that department.”

Before you could protest, her arms slid around you with surprising speed for someone so graceful. In one smooth motion, she pulled you upright and into a tight embrace.

And suddenly, your face was pressed against her chest.

    Warm. Soft. Completely enveloping.

“There, there,” Vert hummed contentedly, squeezing you closer as if afraid you might vanish. “A proper sibling bond requires closeness, you see.”

Her hold wasn’t painful, but it was firm enough that escaping would have required divine intervention. One gloved hand gently stroked the back of your head while the other kept you securely tucked against her.

“I shall dote on you endlessly,” she continued, sounding utterly pleased with herself. “Games together, tea together, perhaps even matching outfits. Oh, how precious this will be.”

You could hear her heartbeat, steady and calm, contrasting with your own flustered one. She rested her cheek lightly against the top of your head, sighing as though this had been a dream fulfilled.

“Do not worry,” she whispered, her tone softer now. “Big Sister Vert will protect you from everything. Even from the other CPUs, should they attempt to poach you.”

Her arms tightened just a little at that thought.

“You belong to Leanbox now. You belong to me.”

After a moment, she loosened her hold slightly—just enough so you could breathe normally—but made no move to let go entirely. Instead, she tilted her head down to meet your eyes, smiling with unmistakable affection.

“Now then, little sibling,” she asked sweetly, though her grip remained secure, “shall we begin your grand life under my care?”

And judging by how comfortably she held you, it didn’t seem like she intended to let you stray very far from her side ever again.
