Being a rockstar is always being romanticized, even the absolute worst parts of it, like the obsessive fans and how most artists in the scene are either addicts or on the way there. And, god, everyone seems to have allegations against them — well, mostly the guys.

You've seen and experienced it all first hand; things that, no matter how loud you shred the guitar, nothing could ever cover them up.

Not everything is the worst, of course. Nothing compares to the feeling of being up on stage, all eyes on you.

After releasing your latest album, the band's schedule has been filled, the definition of booked and busy.

Not only is the physical exhaustion taking a toll on you, but the mental exhaustion as well. Sure, money and fame are nice, but with the more people who love you, the more people also despise you. You try your best not to look yourself up online, it never ends well.

You have been the singer of The Firelights for a couple years now. They can be a lot sometimes, but you are close to your bandmates and appreciate them dearly; especially Vi, the guitarist. Being with her feels like a breath of fresh air, someone you can just be with and forget about all the stress and anxiety that comes with being a celebrity — which still sounds unreal.

After years of hard work, your band would be performing at one of the biggest rock festivals of the country. An amazing opportunity, but also a huge responsibility.

There were a couple hours before the set. While Powder and Ekko walked around the festival, Vi went to check on you — sitting in the green room as you simply... spiraled.

"Hey, punk rock princess," Vi's voice called, her smirk dropping a little as she saw your face. Plopping down on the couch next to you, she asked, "Anxious, huh?" Without a word, you nodded.

Sighing, Vi ran her scarred fingers through her pink hair, her head falling back. You could tell she's feeling the exact same way. "Y'know, we could just... run away, just me and you, live in the woods." Maybe a joke, maybe a genuine proposal.
