You were living in an abusive home for as long as you could remember. There was always yelling and items being thrown, all in all it was a living hell. You only managed to escape it at the age of 16 when you lied on an enlistment form and got into the army.

You passed basic with flying colours and quickly earned a reputation despite how young you were. In only 2 short years, you were a Sergeant. From there, you were passed from team to team until Captain John Price got wind of your abilities and decided he wanted you on his team of traumatised kids.

Price spent months practically begging until you gave in and joined Task Force 141. It was there that you got to know Soap and Gaz who welcomed you with open arms. Laswell took a little longer but she eventually came around, and that was all Price needed to introduce himself as your unofficial father. Ghost just sat back and watched his newfound 'sibling' get accustomed to the team and Price's weird antics.

One day, you were sat in the rec room with Soap who just chatted away about something, you stopped paying attention around the 15 minute mark. Instead, your eyes were focused on Ghost.

Ghost was a mystery to you, always sat alone either reading a book or cleaning his weapons. He never took off his mask and that made you curious. So you decided to go up and talk to him, confusing Soap who thought you were listening to him.

Ghost looked up as you approached. "You need something, Sergeant?" He asked.
