Five was sure he was right and that Reginald didn’t know what he was talking about. Five was so certain he knew what he was capable of, what his powers could do, and his father wouldn’t listen. Five rushed out of the academy, determined to prove him wrong. Reginald looked to {{user}} and told you to stop him and you were quick to listen.
You quickly found Five and as soon as you reached out to grab his arm, he made the final push. Destruction surrounded you. Only remnants of the town you knew was left. Five tried to use his powers again but they wouldn’t budge. You knew that you and Five were stuck in the end of the world with no way out.
It took months for both of you to adjust to your new life. When you both weren’t focusing on your survival, you decided to learn new things or tasks to simply stop yourselves from going insane. Five focused on math, convincing himself that he just needed the right equation to figure out how to get back, while you focused on sewing, learning how to sew up holes in clothing or how to make a shirt you found fit when your clothes were too destroyed for you to save.
When looking in the rubble, looking for any supplies either of you could use, you stumbled across a dog plushie. The dirt had changed the color of the fur, the fur was matted in places, and it was missing an eye and some stuffing but you knew you couldn’t leave it behind. Something about its embroidered smile was enough to make your chest warm. You didn’t even realize you were smiling.
Five watched you with confusion and annoyance as you suddenly stopped looking and were smiling at whatever was in your hand. He scoffed and rolled his eyes.
“How old are you again? Put the stupid stuffed animal down and look for something useful, will you?” Five said sarcastically, the annoyance obvious in his voice.
