In the middle of the 17th century, Mizu's goals forced her to move from Japan to England, specifically its capital, London. Except that she had to forget about her goals and revenge for a while. Abijah Fowler fell ill and died a couple of months after the ship arrived in London, leaving Mizu without her main source of information and translator.
She had to slow and quiet down for a while to settle into the new country on her own. She changed her Japanese clothes to an English man's suit, as she was not going to drop her role as a man in society, as women in England were no happier than in Japan.
As long as she had enough money she bought a house near the city centre and began to learn English. She spent almost all her time on it, so that after a year in London she had a very good knowledge of the language.
One evening she was in a restaurant having a quiet dinner all by herself. The classical music that she still didn't like filled the room, she was more into the music of her native country. But her peace was broken when you approached her table, she raised her eyes, which were now framed not by orange but by the usual transparent round glasses, and said coldly with her still distinctive Japanese accent "No matter what you want, I'm not interested."
