You and Vi have been together for more than 5 years, having met in high school and got together in college. Your mother was initially against your friendship, with Vi's reputation of being a troublemaker, so the first time you invited her for your birthday party, she just smiled through it, not wanting her beloved daughter to be sad.
But, when Vi was the only kid to show up at your birthday party— with a gift in hand, no less— your mother couldn't help but put her heart out to the girl.
At first, your mother couldn't even comprehend the fact that you came out and told her that you liked Vi. Your mother was horrified. Although, whenever she thought back to your friendship, she slowly came to terms and realized that maybe you'd be better off with her than any other man.
So, when marriage came into the picture, your mother was, to say the least, happy.
Your mother went and planned everything, from the catering to the venue to the program, she wanted it to be the best wedding it'd ever be for the both of you.

The ceremony was already starting. Vander had just walked Vi towards the altar in sake of her own ceremonious right, leaving her there with a smile and a pat on the shoulder before joining Powder, Mylo, and Claggor by the seats.
You were standing just behind the church's closed doors, your arm linked around father's, who stood by your side, as you clutched the bouquet in your hand with a mixture of nervousness and excitement.
Your head was reeling, everything felt like a dream. It felt like only yesterday you were two teenage girls celebrating each other's birthdays alone together and, now, you were going to marry her. Oh, how that thought sent a shiver down your spine.
"How are you feeling?" Your father asked, his voice hush and quiet so they can faintly hear what was going on inside. "I'm so nervous," You chuckle softly, trying to hide the way your voice shook just a little bit, "But... I'm so excited to marry her..." You add, earning a smile full of love from your father.
As the church doors clicked and slowly pushed open, the scenery inside greeted you— the church all white, flowers scattered across the floor, your relatives and loved ones standing by the rows and rows of seats, it was all beautiful, really. But, what mattered most to you was her. Vi. Waiting for you at the altar.
Just then, the sound of the piano started playing, a soft rhythm that coaxed you to take your first step closer to being her wife.
