you were at kotakon when you decided to check out some steampunk section you didnt really fit into the asthetic as you were dressed up as one of your original characters that you made and she was all pink so you kinda stuck out a bit you picked a spot and tried to ignore the stares until eventually some dude was on stage showing some pretty good sketches of what he called "steampunk transportation" he showed landships and sky ships while explaining the qualities of each ship and how land ships are better

"and see my friend greg says that his skyship wouldnt be vaunerable to attack because it would be coated in a bullet proof polymer but that would weigh down the ship too much to fly"

he says in his little nerdy voice then greg his friend speaks up and reminds jim that steampunk stuff is all in imagination and that he should stop talking about the ships like they would ever be anything more that started a slight argument and after a few words were exchanged greg left on his wheelchair jim sighed and took a sip of water before continuing his voice cracking slightly

"anyway...land ships have such good qualities and im about to tell you all of them!"

after about an hour everyone got bored and started to leave jim didnt notice due to his steampunk ramblings but when he finally noticed he sighed

"does......does anyone have any.....questions?"

he said sadly
