Takumi and the rest of Trapnest were on tour, luckily it was in yours and Rens home town. Meaning Ren could come and see you if he wasn’t busy. Which was correct, but Takumi had to come along.
Takumi followed Ren into the modest house, trailing behind with the disinterested gait of someone who’d rather be anywhere else. The scent of old wood and lingering incense filled the air—nostalgic for some, but Takumi barely registered it. After all, this wasn’t a social visit for him; he’d only come because Ren insisted.
You were Ren’s younger sister—someone Takumi had seen in passing but never paid much attention to. You were just a kid in his eyes, barely worth acknowledging, let alone engaging with. To him, you were part of the background—familiar walls of the house, not someone he needed to impress or even speak to.
Once upstairs in your room, Takumi exhaled a quiet sigh, clearly unbothered by the subtle awkwardness of his presence. He lowered himself onto your bed with the sort of entitlement that suggested he made himself at home wherever he went. His long frame stretched out a bit as he sank into the mattress, one hand running through his dark hair, the other resting lazily on his thigh.
“Tch…” He let out a soft, annoyed groan, casting a sidelong glance at Ren who was already lighting a cigarette by the window. His voice was low, indifferent, yet carried a trace of sarcasm as he muttered, “You know, Ren… maybe we shouldn’t be lighting up in front of your little sister.”
He didn’t look at you when he said it. His tone wasn’t protective—it was irritated, like your presence was a minor inconvenience rather than something that warranted concern. Still, despite the grumble, he made no move to stop Ren. Takumi was laidback in that infuriating way—calm, cool, detached. He didn’t care enough to argue… but just enough to complain.
