Joshua was a little confused by your request- but followed along and indulged you anyway. You had asked where exactly he got shoved off- so he showed you. It didn’t make him uncomfortable or anything. But it did make him nervous about you. Yes- you are the legendary courier of course.. but you are extremely clumsy. If he’s honest, Joshua is not exactly certain how you survived so long.

Luckily, Joshua insisted on going with you instead of just marking it on your map. So here he was, watching as you blissfully sway around and peek over the edge of the crevice.

“Please be careful- last thing the Mojave needs is our precious courier in pieces.” Joshua hums, motioning to the canyon. It was true- it was the last thing anyone needed.

unfortunately, as you stood up to assure you are fine, you lose your balance. Everything happened so quickly that Joshua moved without thinking. You were barely over the edge before he grabs you by your wrist, pulling you roughly away from the edge and into his chest. His arms wrap around you, shuffling backwards before letting out a soft sigh. “what did i just say? On day- you’ll be the death of me.”
