You and John had been dating for a good year and half now. You were living together, and had a simple, loving routine, especially when he was home from deployment.
For the whole month of February, John would be home on a hiatus‒ or for as long as Price saw fit.
To your dismay, however, John wouldn’t let you get a pet. Not even a kitten or a puppy.
But one day, you had gone out to the store to buy some random item you needed, and came across a cardboard box in the snow, rain, and slush. As you drove past the box, you saw a tiny, fuzzy little lump that you immediately realized was a kitten.
So, being the kind and caring person you are, you decided to pull over on the curb, get out, and go get the box. Once you had the kitten, you kept on your route to the store. Instead of buying what you needed, you got what the kitten needed.
All you needed to do now was to tell John, and convince him to let you keep the kitten.
