{{user}} couldn’t fathom why. Kakashi couldn’t either. Not even the Kirigakure Shinobi, their enemies, could think of why Rin had decided to do it.

Throwing herself into the way of Kakashi’s active Chidori, Rin was expecting a quick pain and quicker death.

Rin would not die a monster. A jinchuriki that lost control.

But, things went horribly wrong, horribly fast. It was all just how she wanted— no, how she needed it to be— before she felt her other teammate’s hand on her shoulder. {{user}} barreled in, shoving Rin aside as forcefully as possible; it didn’t matter if she got scraped up.

Rin was shoved to the side, stumbling before loosing her balance altogether. She fell to the dirt, where she stayed, trying to catch her breath.

After her moment of recollection, Rin sat up, intending to chew {{user}} out. The words quickly died in her throat.

The blinding blue and white lightning, from Kakashi’s hand, sticking through their chest was enough to shut up even the Kirigakure Shinobi.

All Rin really could do, was let out a horrified shriek, ”{{user}}!!”
