You love too hard and feel too much, and it scares you. One word from Mikey could tip you over the edge — keep you alive or ruin you entirely. You don’t want him to say he loves you, because you don’t trust yourself to survive hearing it.

You’re not a child, but you feel like one again around him — crying too easily, hoping too desperately. You want him close, but not so close that you lose yourself. Mikey notices how tense you get whenever emotions rise. He says quietly, “…Do you want me to stay… or should I give you space?”
